'Meet The Blogger' Series Interview 37

www.sunshinesarahxo.com

I have decided to start a new series here on Sunshine Sarahxo after meeting so many lovely bloggers on Twitter I would like to get to know them. So I am going to try to recruit as many as I can as I think everyone deserves a chance to be in the spotlight. =)

Q1: Hello there, nice to have you here on Sunshine Sarahxo! Please could you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your Blog:
Hi, sure. My name is Victoria and I am a Nigerian model and a Blogger at www.oluwanitori.com Basically, my blog is on anything that keeps me up at night. My crazy hair, my mental health, or spirituality. I plan on adding more to the list as I don't like to limit myself. So we can say my blog being generalized would be considered a lifestyle blog.

Q2: At what point did you decide to make a Blog and share it with the world??
I decided to start my blog last year in January 2015 and I didn't really know much about what a blog is or about the crazy and confusing coding.
Q3: How would you describe your writing style? Has it changed over time at all?
Don’t tell anyone this, but I actually hate writing. I’ve always hated writing in school. The reason why I chose to start writing is because I want to change my view of writing. I want to see writing as a form of expressing myself, rather than vomiting information that was forced into my skull. I would describe my writing style as very un..limited. I prefer to write on whatever keeps me up at night. It could be my spiritual life, my hair, my experience in mental health, food, or just a poem that describes what's up. My writing style has actually changed over time. In the beginning when I first started, I was very confused about what to write. I didn’t know what to write, but I knew I wanted to write something and the day I published “Free Your Mind” I knew I was ready to begin to share MY story.
Q4: Was there anyone in particular who inspired you? Which Bloggers do you emulate?
I am not really inspired by most bloggers out there, but I do read and learn. I am inspired by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who is a Nigerian novelist and writer. She’s taught me that writing does not have to be for the fame but more about expressing the deepest parts of your soul and showing others that its okay to do so.
Q5: Do you have anything in the pipeline on the Blog which you are particularly excited about?!
There is a specific post on my blog called Overcoming Depression. I spent about one hour writing it before sending it to my proof reader. It took a lot out of me writing that piece and opening up about a very dark part of my life and just a few details about how I make everyday enjoyable. I’m not really aiming to be a famous writer or to even write a novel. I am just enjoying the journey and appreciating where it takes me.
Q6: Does anyone else know about your Blog? What do they think about it??
Yes, my family and friends know about it, though, I don’t like to harass them to read it. They absolutely love it and they always encourage me to keep on writing.
Q7: Are you obsessed with Lush!?!? If YES what is your favourite product?!
I love LUSH! Not sure I’m quite obsessed just yet, but I’m sure it might get there. I had a tub when I was younger, I’m pretty sure it was for shaving and it always smelled amazing!! I’ve got to try it again soon!
Q8: Has your Blog helped you in other areas of life?!
My Blog indeed has helped in other area of life. I’ve been learning to open up more and my blog has been a great way of practicing that. I do believe that because of it, I am much more friendlier and welcoming towards people.
Q9: What is it that makes you so fabulous?!
My hair! Have you seen that tapered cut!!? It makes me unique in every way and I am loving it!!
Q10: Finally, can you recommend anything to us today!? (Skincare/Beauty/Tv Show/DVD/Music/Food Item...anything!)
I’d like to recommend a book named Black Boy Archaeologist by Derick Ebert. I believe it is one of the most powerful books I may have ever been able to set my eyes upon. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed!!
