On Friday 3rd March I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the official opening of the new All Bar One located in Parliament Street, Harrogate. This new cocktail bar is making its mark as the new hot spot to head to for after work drinks, cocktails with the girls and catch ups over small bites. The interior is stunning, a little eclectic with a modern edge it really turns heads and makes you want to stay a while to explore.
The evening flowed very well and there was certainly plenty of food and drinks on offer, with a cocktail bar where you could sample a Bulldog G+T or an Aperol Spritz and a beer bar located at the back next to the live Dj.
The staff could not have been friendlier. I got chatting to the waitress on the cocktail bar who was making the Aperol Spritz and found out she was from Perth in Australia! A place I had visited not too long ago! As I was alone it was really nice to feel part of the night and learn how to make my own cocktail!
The food I sampled was absolutely delicious. From spinach and feta parcels, to veggie noodles, haloumi and choritzo, minted lamb in a rice shell, to their mini burgers; it was all to die for and has definitely given me food for thought!
It all felt very exclusive because your name had be down on the guest-list for you to be allowed in! Shout out to Scarlett from Spotty Dog Communications for putting me down and coming to chat to me after I arrived!! This was a really lovely touch and made me feel appreciated. No better way to spend a Friday night if you ask me!
I really loved the interior of All Bar One, it's obvious they've put a lot of work into the little touches around the Bar, from the little fake flowers pots, to the candle holders and chrome light fittings, this could turn out to be a photographer's (read bloggers!) dream interior! I certainly enjoyed taking all my photos and trying to capture the essence of All Bar One.
All Bar One's small plates start at any 3 for £15 or 5 for £25 / 3 for £16 or 5 for £26 / 3 for £17 or 5 for £27. These include Salt and Pepper Calamari, Crispy Duck Dumplings, Pan Fried King Prawns, Stonebaked Garlic Flatbread and Buttermilk Chicken Wings. As I mentioned before, the food I sampled was delicious and I can't wait to go back for a bigger portion!
All Bar One also offer cocktail masterclasses which can be easily booked online or in person. Learn the secrets of the perfect mojito, espresso martinis and cosmos. This is ideal as a present for one of your girlfriends or partner and a minimum of six people is required. Prices start at just £20 per person. I can only enthuse about their mixologists as the two on duty on Friday were very friendly!
I really hope All Bar One continues to thrive because Harrogate has become a hub for new bars and restaurants recently, giving locals and tourists plenty of choice over where to eat and drink. For Harrogate as a tourist town this can only be a good thing!
