Good Food Show Winter - Birmingham :)

Sunday, 9 December 2012

Last Friday (30th Nov) I went to the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham! I had won two tickets and so Mum and I went along for the day!! :) I had SUCH a great time, especially tasting lots of free samples and drinking some nice wine on the 3D Wines stand!!!! :D (This was, until recently, my parent's business so we HAD to pop along to say hi and sample some new wines!!!! hehe!)

This is going to be a photo heavy post as sometimes I think they work better than lots of words! One of the first 'famous' chefs we saw was Monica from Masterchef! She was cooking a pork dish as an alternative Christmas Lunch on the M&S Stand. :)

Later we stopped off at the Great British Bake Off Stand and saw one of the girls and also John Whaite who won!! :) He was SSOO good at cooking and talking at the same time! he did the most delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding recipe which I may just have to try out!! NOM!

He's such a pretty boy!! I love a man who could bake me cake!!!!!! :P

Later on we also spotted Lisa Faulkner who won Celebrity Masterchef in 2010!! (If I'd known that and been quicker I would have won her cookbook! lol) Brian Turner was also there :)

She was cooking a quick and simple Fish Pie! :) NOM!

I had seen earlier in the day what time Gregg and John would be appearing at the WHSmiths stand to sign books so I made sure we headed there in time! :P They're my heroes and I can't quite believe how slim Gregg is looking these days!!! :O

I absolutely LOVE Masterchef so it was kind of surreal to see them 'live!' lol. I would DEFINITELY go back again!! :P

Thanks very muchly to the wonderful Katie Howell  for picking me as one of 2 lucky ticket winners!! :P Check out her Blog !!! :)

Have you every been any of the BBC Good FooD Shows??? I urge you to go if you like/love food as there are HUNDREDS of stands all brimming with amazing food and even some free samples!! We didn't buy too much, only a bag of dried sauasage which was only £10 and included one which retailed at £5!!! A BARGIN! We also bought some tasty fudge as they were selling 4 bags for £10, we got vanilla, cappuccino, mango (their best seller in Harrods apparently!) and another I can't remember! We also bought 4 quiches from a company called 'Higgidy' which were delish!!!!!!!! :D :D We got 4 for £9 I think? Bargin! :D A brilliant day out and a wonderful end to a fantastic week where I'd been to London to see War Horse!!! (Post coming soon!)

Thanks for reading!!!
