#SmallBiz Series Part 18 - Eclecticult Jewellery.

Friday, 17 June 2016

Hello there! I have decided to start another new series on my Blog, this time focussing on small businesses. Being a blogger I am regularly put in touch with owners of small businesses and it is a really enjoyable part of being a blogger. Whether it be reviewing a product, service or finding a new company which sells fashion at an affordable price, there is often a small team of people behind it, plugging away, putting in the late nights and the early mornings trying everything to make a success out of their little business. I do feel, that as bloggers we do owe some responsibility to them as more and more of them are turning to Twitter and bloggers alike to promote themselves. Plus, I think it's fun being one of only a handful of bloggers lucky enough to discover a burgeoning business and getting to trial some of their products! Or is that just me!?
I have found all of the business I'll be featuring on twitter, under the hashtag #smallbiz as that is where they were all hiding! To start with, I'll be featuring a couple of the small businesses I've already come into contact with, as that way I hope that a few of you will have already heard of them too!

So if you like finding new places to buy fashion, beauty or a present for your loved one, sit back, grab a cuppa and read on!

Another week another Jewellery store featuring in my #SmallBiz Posts!! This time the honour goes to Eclecticult Jewellery and Accessories. It is run by the lovely Jess who says she has always had an eclectic taste in music, fashion and jewellery and that making it is the perfect platform to express her undying love for the big screen, musicians and all things vintage.

She began creating jewellery for herself and close friends, after not being able to find anything which truly represented her personality. Wanting to create pieces which were full of colour and intricate designs, Eclecticult was born!

Eclecticult is an online jewellery store which Jess says is influenced by pop culture, kitsch fashion, cult films, 90s TV and vintage themes. She uses the store as a platform to not only show off her love of these, but also as a way of her expressing individuality and offering her customers something different.

I was lucky enough to be sent a pair of earrings based on the Disney Movie, The Little Mermaid and I could not be more pleased with them! Perfectly designed to represent the movie, these earrings are perfect for any Disney lover or eclectic jewellery fan.

The colours of the beads instantly transport you back to Ariel's red hair, green fin and purple shell bra. The shell reminds you of her life in the sea whilst the boat speaks of her wish to be like the human man she loved.

I absolutely adore these earrings and they speak to the inner eclectic hippie in me who loves shiny things! They are an acceptable way to let a little bit of Disney into your life without being overly obvious about it.

The time taken to make these earrings shows in their design. I am very impressed because they do not look flimsy or cheap in any way and will last me for years to come.

So if you are after a piece of jewellery which is unlike any other, you can't go far wrong than ordering a piece from Jess! You just know it will be a one-off item that not quite everyone else will own!

So I hope you've enjoyed learning a bit more about this amazing jewellery company! I know I have! I am in love with my 'Little Mermaid' earrings and love having a bit of Disney on my ears! Jess has plenty of other Disney/movie inspired pieces, you should definitely check out her site - Eclecticult.
