Off The Eaten Path*, Making Snacking An Adventure! Working Late and Wondering What To Eat?! Try These On For Size!

Monday, 31 July 2017

Do you struggle with what to eat late at night?! Or perhaps, like me, you work shifts and want something to snack on during work hours which isn't pizza, pasta, doughballs or desserts! (just me??) I have been searching for the right snacks to help through a particularly long Sunday shift before heading home to enjoy a home-cooked meal.

So far I have been relying on snack bars which aren't the healthiest I know and can be expensive....step up Off The Eaten Path's new range of delicious  crunchy snacks made with real vegetables. Each snack is a surprisingly delicious combination of flavoursome ingredients.

The new snacks provide a source of fibre, contain no artificial colours or preservatives, and are made from ingredients such as rice, green peas, pinto beans and white beans. Every snack is then seasoned with either simple sea salt, sour cream and cracked black pepper, or caramelised onion and balsamic vinegar flavouring for a delicious snack.

Flavours include:

Sea Salt Crispy Rice & Pea Chips

Sour Cream & Cracked Black Pepper Crispy Rice & Pea Chips

Sea Salt Crunchy Pea & Pinto Bean Sticks

Caramelised Onion & Balsamic Vinegar Crunchy Pea & Pinto Bean Sticks

These definitely sound like something I would eat as I have been trying alternative snacks recently like the Yushoi Baked Lightly Salted Pea snacks which are a good alternate to crisps if you're looking to cut things out of your diet or find suitable replacements. They come in a few flavours like original, sea salt and balsamic vinegar and sweet chilli and lemon so there's plenty of variety, just like your favourite crisps! Admittedly they do take some getting used to as they're not potatoes but after a while you'll find yourself reaching for them time and time again! haha! Plus they can be found in your local supermarket! Bonus!
Created for free spirits and adventurers alike, Off The Eaten Path is for those who prefer to discover the path less travelled. Off The Eaten Path is the perfect way to bring a little flavour to lunchtime. It’s ideal to tuck away as a tasty snack in your bag while out on an afternoon stroll in the park or when enjoying an impromptu trip to the countryside.

Or if you work long hours like me!

Trying to eat well and not consume everything that comes on waste is difficult at the best of times, especially on a Sunday afternoon when I usually work 9-4 without a break...! Being able to consume snacks like these is a good healthy alternative for me although I am in no way on a 'diet' as I don't believe in them and like to to live my life by the 80-20 rule (just like my girl and forever my inspiration Em Sheldon does!) I try not to deprive myself of anything, I am wanting to switch up my diet and find healthier alternatives.

The beautiful packaging really reflects Off The Eaten Path’s ethos and evokes a beautiful backyard garden. The packs include hand-drawn illustrations of the vegetable ingredients and colours that will be really eye-catching. I know I would spot them on the supermarket shelf and check them out! I am that child who puts everything they want in the trolley when shopping with Mum and she always reckons she spends more when we shop together! Shocking I know! But I'd like to think my Mum would approve of these snacks because of how healthy and good value for money they are too! Tee hee hee..!! Or I could just buy them myself....what do you think?!

So, have I managed to convince you to try these new Off The Eaten Path Rice Snacks?? I know they're a bit different to what you'd be used to but I can assure you that they're very tasty and make the for the perfect 'snack-venture!'

Let me know if you would try these! Do you recommened any other snacks for me to try at work?? Come join the conversation!

Love, Sarah
