#SmallBiz Series Part 22 | Featuring Wardley's Gifts.

Saturday, 2 September 2017

Hello there! I have decided to start another new series on my Blog, this time focusing on small businesses. Being a blogger I am regularly put in touch with owners of small businesses and it is really enjoyable Whether it be reviewing a product, service or finding a new company which sells fashion at an affordable price, there is often a small team of people behind it, plugging away, putting in the late nights and the early mornings trying everything to make a success out of their little business.

I do feel that, as bloggers, we do owe some responsibility to them as more and more of them are turning to Twitter and bloggers alike to promote themselves. Plus, I think it's fun being one of only a handful of bloggers lucky enough to discover a burgeoning business and getting to trial some of their products! Or is that just me!?

I have found all of the business I'll be featuring on twitter, under the hashtag #smallbiz as that is where they were all hiding! To start with, I'll be featuring a couple of the small businesses I've already come into contact with, as that way I hope that a few of you will have already heard of them too!

Today I would like to introduce you to Wardley's Gifts a wonderful little company selling the cutest trinkets and gifts you could wish for. Founded in December 2016 they started selling out of a pop-up shop made by hand out of MDF! Talk about homemade!

Starting out by selling from this little shop in Lancashire, enquiries grew until they knew that they needed to expand! In Summer 2017 (so only very recently!) Wardley's gifts launched online and continues to grow everyday. So much so that in 2018 they are looking to expand into a retail space in Lancashire. I honestly couldn't be happier for them because they're such a gorgeous little family business that I can't wait to see them expand and make more customers happy!

As you can see from my pictures this is just a snapshot of the gifts that Wardley's sells there is so much more on their website including this adorable trinket dish and we all know just how much us bloggers love a good trinket dish!!! This one is adorable and is only £5!

Selling everything from greetings cards, mugs, money boxes, stationery, to jewellery and health and beauty you're bound to find that perfect present for your friend's birthday or a special/unique/quirky gift perfect for your colleagues leaving present! Everything is reasonably priced and the best bit? Delivery is free!

I was very kindly sent some gifts from Wardley's Gifts and they're so cute! First up is their beautiful flower print notebook, with silver pages and a pretty pink page marker and holder. I adore this but because it's so pretty I am very scared to actually use it! It will look good in photos though...!

I was also sent a selection of cards including a handmade engagement card which is so beautiful and I can't wait to give it to whomever gets engaged next! The 'You're Just My Cup Of Tea' card is adorable too and may actually put it up on my wall as it's so me!

The 'You Smashed It' card is also gorgeous and will definitely be going to a friend when they've done something amazing, like passing exams or something! Wardley's have a great choice of cards for every occasion and you can be guaranteed that you'll find the card perfect for that certain someone!

Lastly, I got a gorgeous silver flower necklace. This would make a beautiful gift for a family member or friend. Unfortunately for me, the chain is too small for me so I will be passing this on to someone who will fit it!

So as you can see there is plenty of choice for each member of your family and at great prices which make your Christmas shopping a breeze this year! I will certainly be looking on here for presents for some of my closest blogger/snail mail friends this year as I'm certain I will be able to find a present to make them smile this year! I absolutely love shopping small and supporting British businesses as they are, at the end of the day, the ones we should be supporting the most instead of just going to the high street and buying the same old things we always do!

I love finding new shops to explore and support. I'm sure I've said it before but it's worth saying again; as bloggers I do believe that it is our duty to do so and make the most of our platforms and blogs to help these small businesses thrive. Yes it's easy to get caught up in the latest craze which I too have been guilty of, but when I get the opportunity to support a small business on Twitter, either by a simple re-tweet or 'hello' tweet then I will and you can be sure I'll be buying from them and perhaps featuring their fabulous products on my Blog!

Nothing makes me happier than getting an email through from one of these businesses it is a real joy to be able to share them with you. I hope you love them as much as I do and will have a browse on their websites and perhaps make a purchase! I highly suggest you check out Wardley's Gifts! Let me know if you find anything you love and what you pick up!

Give them a follow on their social media, pop by and say hi and tell them I sent you! Which one of these products catches your eye the most?! Do you shop small and support British Businesses?! I would love to know which ones you have found! Let's share our support!

Love, Sarah
