5 Solo Date Ideas to Try Out This Valentine's Day

Solo dating is one of my favourite things to do! You can take yourself out for a special treat, without worrying about anyone else but yourself.

From eating whatever you want to learning a new skill, solo dates are the perfect time to catch up with yourself and encourage a bit of self-love.

If you're in a relationship, a solo date gives you the chance to enjoy alone time. This can help to build your relationship, allowing you to appreciate the time you spend together.

If you're not in a relationship, solo dates are a great way to get out and show yourself some love, visiting your favourite restaurants, cafés, bars and local events.

Valentine's Day is all about love- for yourself, your partner, your friends and your family. This makes it the perfect time to take yourself on a special solo date and celebrate your love for yourself.

In this blog post, I've put together 5 solo date ideas to try out this Valentine's Day. I hope you enjoy celebrating this day with a bit of self-love!

1. Book a cooking class

Cooking classes are often seen as a couple's activity, but that's just not true.

Anyone can try out a cooking class to learn a new skill, make delicious food and maybe even meet a few new people.

Choose a cooking class as your next solo date this Valentine's Day for something a little bit different. You'll get to enjoy tasty food at the end of it, too!

2. Go for a day trip

Heading somewhere new is a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day. You could explore a neighbouring city or drive out into the countryside for the day.

A full day to yourself can be daunting, but it's such a fantastic way to try out new things and spend a little time with yourself. Plus, you get to do whatever you want, all day long!

The key to any solo date is planning. You could plan to visit a few museums, book a table at local restaurants and pubs or even buy tickets for a walking tour, to make the most of your visit.

3. Take yourself out for a meal

Taking yourself out for a meal is a classic Valentine's Day treat!

You could head to a vegan restaurant or just take yourself for lunch at your favourite local café.

You don't have to go out for a meal on Valentine's Day itself, as it will probably be quite busy out there.

You could book yourself a delicious meal on Valentine's Day weekend or just choose a random day to enjoy your solo date.

4. Head to the cinema

Many people are scared of going to the cinema by themselves, and it can definitely be daunting the first time! However, it's the perfect solo date activity to show yourself some love.

You can buy any snacks you want without anyone stealing them, and you can see the film of your choice without any complaints.

You can't use your phone in the cinema, giving you plenty of time to rest, relax and enjoy a bit of time with yourself.

5. Go for a spa day

A spa day is an ultimate chance to rest and relax! You can enjoy a special spa treatment, book a facial or take time to experience your favourite beauty treatment.

Valentine's Day is all about showing yourself some love, and that includes self-care.

You could even make your spa experience into a whole weekend, enjoying a bit of time away from home to be pampered and spoiled.

Do you like to go on solo dates? How are you going to treat yourself this Valentine's Day? Let me know in the comments!

Love, Sarah xoxo
