AD- Chopping Board kindly gifted in exchange for this review
Hello there! I have decided to start another new series on my blog, this time focusing on small businesses. Being a blogger, I am regularly put in touch with owners of small businesses, and it is a really enjoyable part of being a blogger.
Whether it be reviewing a product, service or finding a new company which sells fashion at an affordable price, there is often a small team of people behind it, plugging away, putting in the late nights and the early mornings trying everything to make a success out of their little business.
I do feel, that as bloggers we do owe some responsibility to them as more and more of them are turning to Twitter and bloggers alike to promote themselves. Plus, I think it's fun being one of only a handful of bloggers lucky enough to discover a burgeoning business and getting to trial some of their products! Or is that just me!?
I have found all of the business I'll be featuring on Twitter, under the hashtag #smallbiz as that is where they were all hiding! To start with, I'll be featuring a couple of the small businesses I've already come into contact with, as that way I hope that a few of you will have already heard of them too! Catch up with previous Features here.

BrassBox was founded from a desire to create and produce distinctly unique and personalised items for the home. It became clear that the ordinary, everyday item could be made extra special by adding a touch of magic through personalisation. The only limit to what BrassBox Gifts can create is the imagination of the designers and of course, their customers! Using advanced Laser technology, completely unique items can be created quickly and accurately. Customers can choose from a large array of products available on the website which can also be customised with personalised messages. Or if they prefer, personal artwork or photographs can be incorporated into specific, one-off pieces. Their Laser machines are capable of cutting and engraving most materials including paper, cardboard, acrylic, wood, slate, stone and coated metals which means that customers can choose not only the perfect design and finish, but also the perfect base material. Their aim is to create beautiful, bespoke items that can be treasured by recipients for years to come, or indeed to make a special event a touch more memorable. They make products for weddings, christenings and birthdays that ensure your event is unique. When customising or commissioning items, they encourage their customers to be fully involved. Each step of the process is explained, and customers are given the opportunity to make amendments as desired. They strive to offer fantastic customer support because they know that BrassBox is nothing without a loyal customer base. I always love it when a company go the extra mile to make their products more personal, I know how much I love my items more if they're personalised. Like it's mine and nobody else can have it! Brass Box are a small business who have just launched and are still in the early stages of building their website but please do check out their Facebook page or give their Instagram page a follow. Either way, you should definitely check out BrassBox Gifts for your Christmas shopping this year! You will not be disappointed!

I really love my chopping board, it is light enough to carry around the kitchen without feeling like you're going to put your back out but heavy duty enough to withstand the day to day cutting, chopping and knife slams which occur with daily use. The lettering has been cut perfectly and stands out well against the lighter brown of the wood. I love the quote on the bottom of the board which says "Love the life you live and live the life you love." It's this extra level of care that BrassBox Gifts delivers to their customers which makes everything feel more special and would make the perfect gift, if you were looking to start your Christmas shopping early! Here are just a couple of designs you can expect to be featured on their website, these wooden bauble decorations can be personalised with any name/date you choose, so you really can gift someone the most perfect unique gift. (As these aren't live yet, I can't give you prices but please keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates).

This angel is beautiful and is such a lovely way to commemorate someone who isn't there this Christmas. I know personally it would mean a lot to me to have this hanging on my tree this year.
I love having ornaments on my tree which mean something, I already have a decoration which I bought for my first Christmas in Harrogate and each time I look at it, I smile because of the sentiment behind it. So, I know just how much having this angel on my tree would mean to me. The only slight negative to my chopping board would have to be that, just like my Edge Inspired coaster it doesn't have a varnish on it, to seal it. I'd hate to be chopping chilli on it, or spill sauce on it and have it stained that would really ruin my day!

But despite that one small negative, I absolutely love it and BrassBox Gifts. I can't wait for their website to launch so I can browse their gifts and see if there's anything I want to purchase for someone as a Christmas present. If you're looking to shop small this festive season, there's no better place to start than BrassBox Gifts. Love, Sarah xoxoxoxoxo
