Edge Inspired Personalised Gifts & Homeware: My Personalised Gin Coaster

various personalised gifts, including a coaster and gin can

Hello there! I have decided to start another new series on my Blog, this time focusing on small businesses. Being a blogger I am regularly put in touch with owners of small businesses and it is a really enjoyable part of being a blogger.

Whether it be reviewing a product, service or finding a new company which sells fashion at an affordable price, there is often a small team of people behind it, plugging away, putting in the late nights and the early mornings trying everything to make a success out of their little business.

I do feel, that as bloggers we do owe some responsibility to them as more and more of them are turning to Twitter and bloggers alike to promote themselves. Plus, I think it's fun being one of only a handful of bloggers lucky enough to discover a burgeoning business and getting to trial some of their products! Or is that just me!?

I have found all of the business I'll be featuring on twitter, under the hashtag #smallbiz as that is where they were all hiding! To start with, I'll be featuring a couple of the small businesses I've already come into contact with, as that way I hope that a few of you will have already heard of them too!

Edge Inspired was founded in 2011 by Charlotte and her partner Stuart who came up with their business name whilst walking along the beach!

I always knew the sea air was good for something! Over time their nightly phrase 'shall we go for a walk along the beach?' became shortened to 'shall we go to the edge?' and because most of their inspiration comes from walking by the shore, the name Edge Inspired was born.

They offer a range of personalised and handmade gifts and home ware from wooden keepsakes to industrial furniture, plus gorgeous wedding gifts and mementos. Absolutely everything is handmade in their workshop in the New Forest. Which is just about the most inspiring place in the UK if you ask me! (Well, except for Yorkshire of course!)

Beautiful hand crafted gifts are made for your moment, be that a wedding, christening, the birth of a new baby or just to let someone know you are thinking of them. The products at Edge Inspired celebrate those special family moments and become gorgeous keepsake gifts for your friends and family to cherish.

Working from their New Forest Studio, Charlotte and Stuart now have a dedicated and hardworking team who are as passionate as they are about creating your perfect personalised gift. They are proud that their products are designed and created in-house and made using locally sourced materials where possible.

I always love it when a company goes that extra step when creating a bespoke product by personalising it. If I can get something with my name on then I definitely will!

Edge Inspired have lots of different products on their website, certainly all celebrations are catered for and can be personalised including gifts for you bridesmaids. How cute is that? (£6.50)

a star hanging decoration that says " bridesmaid Holly"

This wooden star is adorable! It would be awesome to gift it to a friend whose having their first baby who could then look back at it and have it as a keepsake years down the line. (£9.50)

Edge Inspired are also branching out into furniture and they have this character oak industrial style bookcase which would look perfect in any room of the house. (£600)

three shelves with various home items, such as plants

How about this gorgeous couples personalised Christmas Eve Box which would be an amazing gift for the happy couple celebrating their first Christmas together? (£30)

a white box that says "E&T Christmas Eve Box"

I was kindly sent my very own personalised Gin coaster which is absolutely gorgeous. It's very light, so wouldn't cost much to post. It feels sturdy but at the same time one thing I did notice was that it doesn't have a varnish on it to protect it from spills. This could become a problem and I'd hate for it to get ruined!

I do love the personalisation though, means no one else can steal my drink because it's sat on a coaster with my name on! Or at least I HOPE they don't steal it..!

Two pictures side by side - the first is a coaster that says "gin" and the second is a coaster that says "sunshine Sarah"

You can also get a beer coaster, if the person in your life is more of a beer lover than a gin fiend! There's choice a plenty over at Edge Inspired - who sell via Not On The High Street - so why not head on over and start your Christmas shopping early?

It's never too early to start thinking about these things and with free personalisation available you could easily get everyone in the family covered all in one place. And what's more you'll be supporting a small independent British business at the same time! What's not to love?!

Thanks to the guys over at Edge Inspired for personalising this Gin coaster for me, I really love it and will be using it all the time from now on.

Please do head on over to the website and take a look at their products, I can guarantee you'll love them all.

Love, Sarah xoxo
