Are you looking for ways to relax and recharge on a Sunday? I've got you covered.
Self-Care Sunday is a weekly tradition I've adopted that helps me to take time out of my busy week to focus on myself. And I wanted to share it with you too!
It’s the perfect way to end your week so that you can start the following week feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready to conquer anything.
This weekend, treat yourself with some of these self-care Sunday ideas.
They are simple enough that anyone can do them, but they will have an incredible impact on how you feel all week long.
You deserve it!
#1 Sleep in
Sometimes it's hard to get enough sleep on the weekdays so take advantage of sleeping in while your schedule allows it.
Anything that needs to be done on Sunday, you can arrange to push it back a little later to enjoy that little extra time in bed. You'll feel refreshed and ready to tackle the day.
#2 Read a few pages
I like to start my self-care Sunday mornings off by reading a few pages of my favourite book before I get started on my day.
It's such a wonderful way to relax and unwind. Spending some time reading for pleasure will leave you feeling happier and more optimistic- and it's a great way to set the tone for your day.

#3 Do some yoga
Yoga is a simple way to introduce self-care into your Sunday routine.
It's a workout that helps to improve flexibility, increases circulation, and relaxes both your body and mind. It's perfect for Sunday mornings.
I recommend either a quick 5-minute warm up video on YouTube or downloading a yoga app to ease into your yoga routine until you're ready for something longer.
#4 Get out in nature
There are so many benefits of getting out into nature for self-care. It provides a sense of peace and calm, which is often hard to find in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Spending time outside can help to reduce stress and anxiety and improve both mental and physical health.
It's the perfect way to get motivated for your day and start feeling refreshed and recharged for the week ahead.
#5 Cook your favourite dinner
Sundays are for enjoying your absolute favourite dinner! It's the best day to spend time cooking something ambitious and time-consuming.
I love making a big Sunday roast with all the trimmings and it's also a great opportunity to get all the family together over an evening meal.
#6 Watch a cheesy movie
Sunday evenings are for winding down in anticipation for the week ahead.
I like to curl up on the couch and enjoy a cheesy movie with a big bowl of popcorn and some chocolate.
Is there anything better than a cheesy movie? Any movie that makes you laugh is usually a good start...maybe avoid the horrors if you're unlikely to sleep afterwards!
#7 Take a bubble bath with lavender
The ultimate self-care Sunday ritual has to be relaxing in a lavender scented bubble bath.
Take a book with you if you find that relaxing, but try to disconnect and leave the technology behind.
Lavender is proven to help with relaxation and stress release, so it's the perfect thing to add to a self-care Sunday. I also pop a face mask on while I'm chilling in the bath.
Namaste! You deserve this time for yourself.

#8 Change your bedsheets
This is the last thing on my self-care Sunday routine, and it's also the last thing that makes me smile at night as I nod off to sleep.
There's just something magical about getting into crisp newly cleaned bedsheets, and it's even better when you do it after a bubble bath.
Conclusion
So, there you have it- my self-care Sunday routine that I try to follow each and every week.
As you can see, self-care doesn't have to be complicated in order to make a big difference in how you feel all week long.
Often it's the simple things in life that can help us to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Oh, and don't worry if some of these don't sound like your cup of tea- this is my routine, but you can create your own which includes your favourite things to do.
The important thing is that you take the time on a Sunday to do things just for you.
Follow these tips and I promise you'll be feeling refreshed and ready for anything after your self-care Sunday!
