I don't know about you, but I love nothing better than settling down on the sofa watching one of my favourite films whenever I'm feeling a wave of nostalgia.

I like to think I have good taste in life from the food I eat, the music I listen to, the clothes I wear and the films I choose to watch.

Reliving Childhood Favourites

I have a few childhood favourite films which have stuck with me throughout my adult life and still continue to bring me joy today. A few of my favourites include Batteries Not Included, An American Tail, Gremlins, Lady & The Tramp and The Neverending Story.

These films always bring me joy whenever I watch them and now, thanks to Truffle Shuffle, I can show that love for them through T-shirts. For this post I was sent Lady & The Tramp, An American Tail tees as well as this rather retro VHS Tapes tee.

It's not just films that Truffle Shuffle cater for, they also have a wide range of tees available for your favourite TV Shows! There was nothing like coming in from school and putting on the TV to watch your favourite shows after a hard day - the same can be said of today's maddening world where you always have to appear busy all the time.

Coming home from work and tuning in to your favourites is something I still do today and it's a great way to shake off all your work stress and enjoy being an irresponsible child for a few moments!

Upping My Fashion Game

I love the VHS Tapes t-shirt as it has so many titles of shows I used to watch on it, from Art Attack to Top of The Pops to Roland Rat and The Demon Headmaster. The fact that people wouldn't necessarily be able tell what they are instantly means that you still get to have an air of mystery about you and your fashion choices.

I love trying to up my fashion game and add in something out of the ordinary to the everyday. I feel these t-shirts do a fabulous job of that whilst at the same time helping me to show off my love for my favourite films and TV shows!

I'm a big convert these days to the MOM Jean look, which is as surprising to me as it is to anyone who knew me when I was in my 20s! I used to be a massive skinny jeans girl, nothing would get me out of them and if I had to slim to get into them and continuously pull them up whilst wearing them they were just about skinny enough!

But as with most things in life, I reached my 30s and decided (or rather my body did!) that my skinny jean days were far behind me. At one time I had more than 20 pairs of jeans.....*gulp*....but didn't wear half of them so I had a radical Marie Kondo moment (before she was fashionable!) and got rid of almost all of them.

This left a big hole in my jeans wardrobe, but also I was beginning to embrace my curves. I have a little pouch and rather than try to still squeeze it into skinnies and be left with a muffin top that any top baker would be proud of, I decided to hunt out jeans with a higher rise.

Enter the MOM Jean. The jean to save us all and probably the ones I'll end up buried in because I rarely wear anything else these days!

High waisted enough to protect both my modesty and my muffin top from any hungry passers-by, MOM jeans are the effortless style I always wished I could pull off. With a slight crop to them, my bottom half doesn't feel drowned in jeans, and they pair perfectly with everything from boots, trainers to flip flops and sandals for the better weather.

The jeans I'm wearing in this post are the highly coverted Farleigh high waisted slim MOM Jeans in light wash and I have honestly worn them so much. Definitely an investment piece but if you're a jeans and a t-shirt girl like I am (99.9% of the time anyway!) then I highly recommend them!

Enough about the jeans, this post is about the awesome collection of vintage tee shirts/hoodies etc available at Truffle Shuffle! If you want to read my previous post for them then head over to my 'Nostalgic Fashion With Truffle Shuffle' Post!

Evoking Nostalgia

Nostalgia is described as "a wistful or excessively sentimental yearning for return to or of some past period or irrecoverable condition also: something that evokes nostalgia."

I don't know about you, but An American Tail is one of those films that isn't only brilliantly directed by Steven Spielberg but has songs which will stick in your head all day. My favourites have to be "There Are No Cats In America" and "Somewhere Out There".

Lady & The Tramp of course is just magical and is definitely up there as one of my favourites. Mainly because it's a tale of love between two dogs which ends as happily as me when I put the tee shirt on in the morning! I've lost count of the number of times I've seen it.

Truffle Shuffle do this perfectly with their vast array of cool t-shirts, retro gifts and oh so much more! Whether you're looking for an old school treat for yourself or for a fellow nostalgia fan, you're sure to find a whole host of retro goodies which will make your inner child smile.

Their cool tees, retro gifts and accessories are inspired by the best old school TV, movies, music and more!

My Final Thoughts on Truffle Shuffle

I have come to absolutely love Truffle Shuffle, it's now my go to place for everything retro and cool. With new designs coming out every week, it's going to be hard keeping my fingers from heading over to their website! I absolutely love the tee shirts I chose from their website, especially The American Tail and Lady & The Tramp ones.

There's something really special about going back to childhood and reliving some of your favourite programmes, which used to make you smile when you think of the happy memories associated with them. Sometimes with fashion it can be difficult, what with the pressure to fit into society's somewhat skewed ideals of a perfect body shape.

Thankfully though there's plenty of accounts out there smashing this skewed ideal and actually daring you to embrace the body you already have - because, shock horror, it's really pretty amazing just the way it is! I want to thank Truffle Shuffle for partnering with me because it's been amazing reliving all my childhood favourite films and TV shows. There's really nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa on a wet, miserable Autumnal day and watching one of my favourite films. It's hard to accurately put down into words how I feel when I put on one of these tees or watch the corresponding film, it just puts me into such a happy mood. The outside world just disappears and I can be alone in my nostalgia. I will happily wear these with pride and happily talk the ear off anybody who asks me about them!
