Sparkle PR Mystery Package

AD- Products received in exchange for this review, all opinions and photos my own

When a package arrived through my door full of different products from different brands it gave me the opportunity to trial everything - including some products which I wouldn't of necessarily picked up myself.

Apart from the LQ Liquid Health Supplements, I'd not heard nor tried anything from any of the other brands before.

Let me talk you through the products.

LQ Liquid Health Liquid Supplements

This is a scientifically formulated daily liquid supplement and is part of the LQ Liquid Health Supplement range. Each daily bottle contains multiple key active ingredients and includes marine collagen (7000mg), hyaluronic acid, reservatrol, silicon, glucosamine, selenium and vitamins. Collagen is the most abundant, naturally occuring protein in the body and each bottle contains 7000mg of high bioavailability Peptan marine collagen.

This little bottle also contains vitamin C which contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin and also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and hair, biotin (vitamin B7) contributes to the maintanance of normal skin and hair and vitamin E which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

I had a box of 10x50ml bottles which retail for £29.99 from Holland and Barrett.

I have tried these before so I wasn't apprehensive about the taste - which I quite like. You take one bottle everyday and they're meant to improve the look and texture of your skin, hair and nails.

At the time I was taking these my nails were atrocious as I'd just had gel nails on which I'd picked off - I do this every time and I know it isn't good!

So after taking all of these little bottles I'm happy to report that my nails are in much better condition and are starting to grow back! Amazing! They're nowhere near the length I want them to be but I'm sure with time they'll get there.

I would recommend these if you're into your liquid supplements and wanting to take something to improve your skin, hair and nails.

Butter London Nail Polishes

I received three of these polishes in my box which is one product I haven't used previously. I don't usually paint my nails due to my job and when I do I go for gel nails as they last.

So I'll be interested to see how well these do - perhaps I'll use them over Christmas so my nails look good on 25th December!

The colours I received were:

All Hail The Queen

A holographic shimmering beige nail polish, highly pigmented for one stroke coverage, quick drying, high gloss and chip resistant, promotes strong, healthy nails, contains Vitamins B, C and E.

Teddy Girl

A baby pink creme nail polish. Quick drying, high gloss and chip resistant. Free of all chemicals usually found in other polishes.

Promotes strong, healthy nails as it contains hydrolyzed silk, horsetail extract and vitamins A, C & B.

Mum's The Word

A mauve nude creme gloss with a high-shine finish, has a curved brush for easy application and an award winning Patent Shine 10X formula with ingredients proven to promote brighter, stronger, healthier nails.

Lasts for up to 10 days of wear.

I've heard good things about Butter London before and how well they last. I always used to paint my nails (in my previous life!) despite working with animals all the time and the brand I went for was Essie with Mint Candy Apple being a favourite!

Once my nails are in better condition - thanks to the LQ Liquid Health Supplements I'll get using these polishes to show them off to everyone. Available from Look Fantastic!

These Korean beauty products are completely new to me and ones I would never have picked up for myself. I don't tend to go for Korean beauty, simply because I cannot trust that they haven't been tested on animals, I know China makes this a necessity so I actively avoid any brands/products which comes from there.

I don't know if Korea do the same but I'd much rather not take the risk at all if I'm honest. It doesn't matter how well the products work or if they're the cure for any skin problem I may be suffering from, if I can't 100% guarantee that no harm has come to any animal in the making of it, I will avoid it.

As I didn't know what I was getting I couldn't be sure of this, but I have to stay true to my values and is therefore the reason that I haven't used these products yet and perhaps never will. I just can't be sure of their providence.

Everything I see online suggests that this brand (and in particular these products) are highly sought after and apparently work really well for those suffering with acne, with results being seen overnight.

I'll probably keep these products but I doubt I'll use them because of the element of doubt. I know as a beauty blogger, if I'm sent products to use then I just should use them regardless of what testing they've been through or where they've come from. But the thing is, I do care. I care a hell of a lot and I'm really starting to think about where my products come from, who makes them and if they're cruelty free or not.

It's good to try new products but at the same time I'd much rather use what I know, safe in the knowledge no animals have been harmed in the process.

Missguided Instant Feels Body Mist

This body mist is a light fruity fragrance that combines raspberry, bergamot, patchouli and sweet vanilla.

Top notes - pear, raspberry, strawberry, bergamot and cassis.

Middle notes - peony and jasmine sambac.

Base notes - amber, patchouli, musk and sweet vanilla.

I love having new perfumes or body sprays to use, as I've started to use up my store of perfumes I have collected over the years. I have many favourites, some old, some new and I love adding to my collection, even in the form of a body mist like this Missguided one.

The scent is light enough to be used day to day but will easily take you into the evening if you were to keep this in your desk/bag at work and then go out afterwards. I love scents that work so well in so many different situations, I feel like you're getting value for money - especially if the spray comes in travel friendly packaging!

Available from the Missguided website

My Final Thoughts

So to sum up, I enjoyed getting this box of mystery goodies from Sparkle PR, the choice I received was wide and varied, the products themselves were of high value and worked well together. Apart from the J.One facial products, I would happily use everything I received.

Big thanks to the lovely ladies at Sparkle PR for sending me this big box of goodies, it was exciting to receive it and trial everything inside.

I am looking forward to painting my nails with the Butter London polishes at Christmas and using the Missguided body mist.

What do you think of this box of goodies? Would you try any of the products you see here?

Let me know!

Love, Sarah
