I've written a lot of posts about eating well as a vegan. But what about those times when you fancy a treat?
Over the past few years, more and more places have started offering vegan junk food options- and there are many delicious picks out there for your next treat.
In this blog post, I've put together my top 5 favourite vegan junk food picks! Including places to eat out or order in.
1. Purezza- Vegan Pizzeria
Purezza is the UK's first vegan pizzeria, offering lots of different options for vegans to enjoy a tasty pizza.
If pizza is your junk food go-to, Purezza is a great choice! Their vegan pizzas are available in Brighton, Bristol, Camden and Manchester.
At Purezza, you can also enjoy guilt-free pizza, as the company are passionate about sustainability, making perfect vegan pizzas while still keeping their carbon footprint down, too.
2. So! Bar & Eats
I love checking out independent vegan restaurants across the UK, and So! Bar & Eats has an almost intimidating number of vegan dishes.
If you fancy a junk food treat, So! Bar & Eats in North Yorkshire is the perfect choice. You can enjoy vegan wings, jackfruit burrito bowls, vegan burgers, incredible desserts and more.
So! Bar & Eats also offers plenty of gluten-free options, with a huge menu that allows you to choose from a range of vegan dishes.
3. Vegan Junk Box
The Vegan Junk Box is "the UK's naughtiest vegan snack subscription box". Although I love to find healthy vegan snacks to enjoy- sometimes you just need something a little more indulgent.
Choose the Vegan Junk Box for lentil chips, popcorn, vegan chocolate, sweets and more!
There's nothing wrong with a little treat every now and then. Every snack in the box is completely vegan and completely delicious, too!
4. Oumph Vegan Food
Oumph is a fantastic plant-based company, and they sell their delicious food in retailers such as Asda, Iceland, Tesco and Sainsbury's.
From crispy buffalo bowls to tasty rib-style products, Oumph prides itself on creating vegan junk food picks that anyone can enjoy.
They even have a doner-style kebab that's pea-based!
5. MOJO Dirty Vegan Food
I've discussed MOJO's food in the past, and their vegan options are absolutely delicious.
MOJO specialises in dirty vegan food. It's the kind of food to eat whenever you need a treat, including tonnes of opportunities for vegans to indulge in a bit of junk food.
I've tried their vegan "chicken" wings, cauliflower wings, quesadillas, tato tots and spicy bean burgers.
All of their food is full of spice and flavour, including a Louisiana hot sauce that is just incredible.
MOJO also serves tasty cocktails to go alongside your meal, giving you chance to enjoy an amazing night out with friends and family- vegan style!
