I’ve been on quite the journey with my skin, from teenage acne, to finding my skin texture had completely changed during my two year trip to Australia, to coming home and having feeling utterly lost and adrift in the world of skincare whilst I navigated a whole new world of products to learning I was using entirely the wrong products, before finally learning about my new skin type and finding a new range which held the power to change my skin for the better.
My Skincare History
My skin type used to be oily and acne ridden, this changed when I went to Australia. The hot dry, humid weather changed it to dry and dehydrated. I was still treating my skin as one big spot which meant that my skincare was all wrong. I felt like I needed to completely re-learn what I thought I knew about skincare and more importantly, my skin type.
During a visit to Kiehl’s I had my skin type analysed and found I was severely dehydrated and all the products I was using were totally wrong. Thankfully I was guided to a new skincare line which would help with the dryness and dehydration. Which by the way, are two completely different things!
Anyway, once I started with my new skincare routine, my skin started to clear up almost overnight. Giving my skin the hydration it needed meant that all the spots I had on my chin all but disappeared. This, more than anything made me feel quite emotional and has led me onto finding out more about my skin, skincare itself and to even better products which have had even more of an effect on my skin than I ever thought was possible.

Finding Skin + Me.
During lockdown there was one brand more than any other which kept popping up on my Instagram feeds and in the ads between stories – Skin + Me. It seemed they were on a mission with their advertising because quite a few influencers were using and recommending them.
Having been stuck in a rut with my skincare and looking for something new to use, the tempting £3.50 trial price convinced me to give it a go. The fact that it’s personally tailored to each person really felt like this would be different, plus being able to tweak the prescription if it wasn’t working, sealed the deal for me and I signed up.
I’ve now been using Skin + Me for 8 months, about to go into month 9 and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this prescription skincare has changed my whole face for the better. I did think I would change my prescription at least twice during these last 8/9 months, but waiting it out for 16 weeks really helped as this was the amount of time my skin needed to adjust to the formulations within my prescription.
Using Liz Earle Probiotic Balancing Range.
I have been using the new Liz Earle Pro-biotic Balancing Range which is said to be gentle and nourishing formulas with naturally active pre, pro and postbiotics. This range has been so wonderful for my skin, especially in conjunction with the Skin + Me prescription.
Sometimes the retinol in my prescription can leave my skin feeling dry, especially on my cheeks, so using the Milk Cleanser, Balancing Day Cream and the Pro-biotic Balancing Night Cream has left my skin feeling very soft, smooth and cleansed.
To have found a set which not only helps nourish my skin but smells good, is easy to use and works so well with my Skin + Me prescription. With retinol you have to be quite careful because like I said before, it can dry your skin out so this new Liz Earle Pro-biotic Balancing Range has left my skin not feeling dry at all and after using it for a month or so now, I can say that I will definitely be re-purchasing the whole set once I’ve used them all up.
If you’re looking for a new range of skincare which does exactly what it says on the tin, then I can whole heartedly recommend this new Liz Earle Pro-biotic Balancing Range.

I’ve previously used and loved the OG Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth and nourished after every use and was great as either a second cleanse, or as a first step in my skincare routine. I have no doubt that if you were already using and loving that cleanser, you would also love this new Probotic Balancing Range.
