5 Great Vegan Haircare Products to Check Out in 2023

If you're a vegan, you may find it difficult to find great haircare products that work with your hair, especially if you struggle with an itchy scalp or you need a specific treatment.

In the past, I've spoken about my favourite vegan skincare products to check out - but it's also important to think about your haircare, too.

This might include serums you like to use, exfoliating products or just your regular shampoo and conditioner.

Vegan haircare products are often made with natural ingredients, meaning you don't need to worry about harmful parabens, silicon or alcohol.

All of these ingredients can damage your hair - so choosing vegan haircare could be the right choice whether you follow a vegan diet or not!

In this blog post, I've put together a guide to vegan haircare in 2023 - including affordable products and ethical, organic picks.

1. Marakesh Hair Oil - Earthly Body

Earthly Body aims to create organic products for anyone to enjoy - and their Marakesh Hair Oil is great for frizzy hair.

This treatment is a good choice if you want to de-tangle any frustrating knots in your hair - and it can also add a bit of shine.

Marakesh Hair Oil is completely vegan - and it's also cruelty-free.

With Morrocan Argan Oil, Hemp Seed Oil and botanical extracts, this product can help to maintain your hair's natural moisture and prevent dryness, too.

2. La Biosthetique Botanique Pure Nature Vegan Haircare

I tried a few La Biosthetique Botanique Pure Nature vegan haircare products a couple of years ago, and I absolutely loved them!

At the time, they had just released a new range of vegan haircare. All of the products are completely vegan, and they're also free from parabens, mineral oils, sulphates, alcohol and silicon.

I used the Botanique Balancing Shampoo, the Botanique Gentle Conditioner and the Botanique Intense Mask. Each one left my hair smelling and feeling great!

3. Gro Hair Serum - Vegamour

If you want to add a bit of volume and growth to your hair, the Gro Hair Serum is your new best friend!

This product is completely vegan, and it can help to keep your hair thick and healthy.

This is a great option if you're suffering from hair thinning or hair loss - and Vegamour Gro Hair Serum claims that it can increase your hair density by up to 50%.

This luxurious hair serum includes ingredients such as caffeine, as well as natural ingredients like turmeric and mung bean.

4. Ginger Hair Scalp Scrub - The Body Shop

The Ginger Hair Scalp Scrub is a fantastic vegan haircare product for those with dry, itchy or sensitive scalps.

It can give your hair an extra bit of TLC, gently relieving and exfoliating your scalp whenever you need it.

There are also a few other vegan products in this range, including Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Ginger Scalp Care Conditioner.

I love The Body Shop because they have ethical products - but their vegan skincare and haircare options aren't too expensive!

5. Shampoo Bar - Superzero

Shampoo bars are a great choice if you want to look after the environment - and most of them are vegan, too.

The Superzero Shampoo Bar is vegan-friendly and it can help you to reduce waste.

This bar is natural, eco-conscious and great for your hair. It includes avocado oil, shea butter and lavender oil to give your hair a fragrant boost!
