5 Ways to Take a Trip Down Memory Lane ft. Zavvi

AD- I received PR samples, gifts and products from Zavvi. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Everyone loves feeling nostalgic from time to time, and there's something fantastic about taking a trip down memory lane and listening to some of our favourite music or watching our favourite film.

In this post, I'm discussing 5 fun ways to take a trip down memory lane and remember some of your all-time favourite bands.

These might be the bands you listened to when you were growing up, or the song you and your husband danced to on your wedding day!

1. Create a nostalgic playlist

If you love to take a trip down memory lane, try creating a nostalgic playlist for all those moments when you want to remember bands or songs of your past.

The joy of nostalgia is that it hits you when you're least expecting it. Try out someone else's playlist from the year you were born, for example, to listen to songs you never knew would bring that pang of nostalgia!

2. Watch a film about your favourite band

I love watching films about some of my favourite, nostalgic bands.

This can bring back all the old songs you used to love, as well as helping you learn a bit about the story behind your all-time favourite band.

For example, if you're a fan of Abba you could watch 'Mamma' Mia to enjoy the classic Abba soundtrack or Queen fans could try out 'Bohemian Rhapsody' to find out more about the legendary Freddie Mercury.

3. Sort through your old CDs

It can be lots of fun to sort through old CDs or DVDs, especially when you want to remember the music you used to love!

For me, I was a bit of an Emo in the past, so my music taste is very different now compared to when I was younger.

Just sorting through my old Eminem CDs brings me a warm sense of nostalgia for past times and special memories.

4. Choose nostalgic fashion

There are so many ways to take a trip down memory lane using fashion! Zavvi tee-shirts are a fantastic way to evoke your love for different bands, TV shows or films from the past.

I recently got the chance to try out some amazing Zavvi tee-shirts, all of them inspired by the bands I LOVED when I was growing up!

When I wear one of these tee-shirts, I'm instantly reminded of important or special times in my life. And as an added bonus, they're also super comfortable and they go with anything!

I love the Zavvi Greenday tee-shirt when I'm in a rock or punk mood, and the Zavvi Eminiem tee-shirt really did transport me back to my time as an Emo! Even now, when I hear the opening chords for 'Stan', I journey back in time.

I also love my new Zavvi Run DMC tee-shirt, and it is the perfect nostalgic fashion choice for when I want to take a trip down memory lane.

I think everyone has listened to Queen at one point in their life, and I'm still a huge fan of their incredible songs! I love to team my Zavvi Queen tee-shirt with a comfortable pair of jeans or cute skirt when I'm off out.

My new Zavvi Guns and Roses tee-shirt brings back memories from my time obsessed with rock music, and I love that this tee-shirt has sparked conversations with fellow fans of the band.

Fashion is the best way to express yourself, and this includes telling the world about your favourite bands, films, TV shows, games and more!

5. Create a scrapbook.

If you like to get creative, try making a scrapbook whenever you want to take a trip down memory lane. This might involve cutting out images from old magazines or finding old photographs of you at concerts.

This is a great way to think about some of your fun or special memories, and it's a great activity for your next day off.

Do you have any go-to ways to take a trip down memory lane when you're feeling nostalgic? Let me know in the comments!

Love, Sarah xoxo
